Cue.
What if there was a way to never forget your keys again? With the Cue. system, you will be reminded to grab your keys every time you touch your doorknob. The system includes a silicone keychain, a hook to hold your keys, and a silicone ring to place around the stem of your doorknob. According to the cue-dependent theory of forgetting, information is stored in our memory but can’t be brought into our consciousness unless something triggers it. This is why a memory might pop into your head after smelling your favorite food from your childhood. In the Cue. system, the retrieval cue would be the silicone ring reminding you to grab your keys.
The design of the product and packaging features a pastel color palette consisting of pink, purple, and yellow. The colors and gradient application is curious and eye catching but not stressful to look at. The typefaces, ITC Souvenir and Pangram, are round, bold, friendly, and easy to read even at a small scale. There is also a desktop website to accompany the product where customers can purchase the system. The website features the same whimsical branding and quirky glyphs.
